Southern Pickled Peaches

Ingredients

For 2 Serving(s)

  • 3 lbs Peaches
  • 4 cups Sugar
  • 1 pint Vinegar
  • 2 each Cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 Ginger
Southern Pickled Peaches Directions
  • Blanch peaches in boiling water for 1 (one) minute.
  • Plunge in cold water to stop cooking, cool down and peel
  • Make syrup by boiling 2 cups of sugar, the water and the spices (bag)
  • Add the peaches and boil for 3 minutes.
  • Add all remainders and cook until tender.
  • Cover and lets stand for a day.
  • Serve garnished with mint leaves. This same recipe can proceed to preserves.
